HR DAILY TASK - GUIDE FOR MANAGERS-Updated  November 2017 


Each Day admin HR staff will check time station data and confirm all staff are logged in on time 
If they see staff arent logged in  ( and staff arent on planned leave day ) they will email you for clarification 
 
There is no need for managers to check the time station data , although this is available for managers and should be on short cut on browsers 

If hr messages to ask re staff attendance - our KPI is that we reply within 4 hours 
You will advise if
staff sick - using sick leave 
staff here but forgot to log in ( hr will manually log in for them ) 
staff actually on annual leave but somehow not notified 


At times staff will not have enough positive hours to claim sick leave 

in this case HR will ask you for decision 
If you allow sick leave to be negative then staff will be paid as usual and in time this will come back as positive i.e approx 2 hours leave added each week 
If you say to HR that leave is not allowed to be in negative then staff will be paid less that week ( which would be understandable given they worked less hours ) 

either way once you are aware of this you should meet with the staff and explain, ask for solution 

If staff leave/ end employment then negative sick leave is taken from any annual leave hours owing
