HR should  receive induction form from manager 

Page 2 and 3 information are  whats required to set up the employee in xero 

Once all information is received email the induction file to HR@  ,make the subject line employee name and induction doc , then delete the file , this way you have a record if required of this document

add employee

middle name not required

if required filed not filled in or unclear email manager and ask for these

Once you press save more options and tabs will then come up to be completed:

EMPLOYMENT TAB

Classificication is the employemt group i.e sales or dismantling or operations

Payroll Calender - weekly wages

Holiday group NSW

Ordinary earning rate 0 ordinary hours

TAXES TAB

When filling in the taxes screen below you should be working off the Tax File Declaration, be sure to choose the right tax rate:

Employment basis - as per form - this often is casual

select form as file now , You can choose “File Now’ to lodge with ATO (then you don’t need to fill in and post the tax file declaration form). tick the box as yes

 LEAVE TAB

Skip this for initial set up for casual employees

Leave applications will be used later when the employee has started to accrue leave, not needed at initial setup, you can leave this blank

FOR EMPLOYEES EMPLOYED AS FULL TIME FOR THE START
when you add leave, this should only be done for employees with leave entitlements.i.e full time employees

When done pay template should look similar to this:

BANK ACCOUNTS

STATEMENT TEXT - this is what employee will see on their bank statement mark as JJ AUTO PARTS

When adding bank accounts above an employee can have up to 4 bank accounts to have their funds paid to.-see faq on the bottom for guide of using this

Payslips is for reference only and to retrieve payslips later after processing, not needed at initial set up and can be left blank

PAY TEMPLATE

When you first go into the pay template it will be blank.  This varies for each employee but the intention here would be to make the pay here look like it should each pay run.

So add earnings line

Add in superannuation details

Opening balances

should only be needed when converting from another package or if leave was missed previously, leave blank

Notes

can be added to at any stage and can be used for notes on staff performance/meetings, wage discussions etc.
