We all dont work in the same office and we often are half a world away so there is a level of trust required from everyone
Your manager and employer cannot see you working personally. They will only depend on your availability and report and the work you've done base on the systems record.
EMPLOYMENT GUIDES
Make sure you log in on time required.
If you will be late/absent (more than 10 minutes ) , advise your manager. Email (personal is ok), call or sms their respective managers to inform for task distribution.
make sure manager replies and acknowledges this - dont just send email and assume they got it
Make sure manager is aware before 20 minutes has elapsed of you being offline
Provide manager with first status update after 2 hours - i.e "still offline , i dont have guide as to when will be back online. "
Provide manager with second status update after 4 hours - i.e "still offline , i dont have guide as to when will be back online. "
Provide manager with further status update for each day that you are offline so they can plan team tasks
When team member comes back "online " within 5 minutes inform manager so they can hand back , re allocate tasks.
You should be responsible with your actions.
When working from home your computer and internet connection is your main asset. You should have a good and stable internet connection for you to do your job properly. You should have a backup plan in case you lose your internet connection.
Some internet/power outages are being announced in social media and will be good to check as it can help in forecasting.
Its understandable that staff will require leave but in order for the company to be sustainable and consistent in providing benefits we need notice of this so managers can make plan so customers are not inconvenienced. If you need to go on leave, you should notify your manager prior to that. There is notice period guideline in seperate document. Please note that any absences/leave days during training period are all unpaid.
If you are employed full time with JJ but also working for another company at the same time, advise HR@ of this in writing 7 days before any change of circumstances commences
It is imperative that you are in perfect attendance during training period.
Training period starts on your first day of permanent employment til your 3rd month of employment. ( period doing trial tasks doesnt count )
