Ideally we have all parts correctly inventoried so operations staff dont have to "check " parts for sales staff but sometimes as an exception this is required ) its an exception !!!) .
If we keep bothering operations staff to check parts then they wont have enough time to do the normal task
It would be the absolute exception that sales staff ask operations to action/check a car that isn't inventoried yet , if we keep interrupting the car wont get input , if we need it desperately then sales check themselves
PROCESS -
Sales staff send message to operations manager by pinnacle chat ideally this is link with clear guide of action required
Default is that these are actioned within 1 hour ,If sales staff requires immediately then call operations manager ( this would very much be the exception )
Sales staff should have quoted the customer for the part and have commitment from customer before we start checking parts
If subsequent to part being checked the interchange or condition needs to be updated, images added then its the operations managers responsibility to ensure that this is done
If we are taking an image of part/car then this should be added to part car so it doesn't have to be done again and is one file for all , note we can have private images if required
NOTE @ Nov 2017 if online sales staff need item checked, image added then they add ticket to zendesk ticket system and online sales manager actions this
