PURCHASING -BID BUDDY ADVANCED - PRICING

It important we get the pricing right in bid buddy bidding so the bids that we make are accurate 

IF ITEM HAS NO PRICE ? 
Go to pinnacle ,research what the price should be 
update this price in Pinnacle ( see separate guide for this ) 
we update the price in pinnacle so we don't have to do it again next time 

then go back to bid buddy and update the price in bid buddy 
MAKE SURE TO UPDATE THE ACTUAL PRICE ,NOT THE SCALED PRICE !!!

Price source - what does that mean 
when we are doing the bid , we dont actually control the price source settings , the software automatically picks the correct price source 
if we have sold that type of  item in the last 90 days - then the system should use price source 1 - which is the average sales price 
if not it looks at price 2 , which is the price we used last time we bid this interchange ( in the last 90 days )  , if we havent bid on this interchnage in last 90 days , then it looks at 
price source 3 which is the standard B pinnacle price for that item

FOR ENGINE AND TRANS 

Engines and transmissions are generally expensive items and a large part of the bid ,
so once we have completed bid review the price of the engine trans ,

if pricing has been updated in last 60 days ( you can tell from price source sell color  ) and you feel its ok then no need to review 



if pricing hasn't been updated then review 
to do this just go back and check  pinnacle for the selected engine and trans ,update as required in pinnacle 
(remember to add the c so it will show as updated next time ) 
then adjust as required in the bid

GENERAL PRICE REVIEW ONCE ALL IC IS SELECTED 
Once all bid done ,just cast your eyes down the bid and cross check all pricing ,does it feel right ?
 ( you will get better at this ) 
if you aren't sure look up in pinnacle to see if pricing is correct and update as required
