USING INTERNAL CONTESTS TO GET RESULTS

MANAGER
Define the required outcome

Create a system so all can achieve the prize
i.e
each outcome receives one ticket ,draw the prize on following Monday morning
handicap the start based on last xxx weeks results

the contest is short and sharp -one to 2 weeks ,easy and quick to manage ,takes less 10 minutes
show the result clearly via email and big white boards !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

outcome reach a new level of output during the contest period and then maintain this from that point on
 
INDIVIDUAL CONTEST 
# warranty sold , over $20 to qualify
# oldest parts must be over xxx tag number to get a ticket


TEAM CONTEST -
i.e split sales team in 2
Pick your team ,look at last xx weeks results as handicap and winning team gets a prize

Contests should be fun,create a team emphasis , and be commercially viable
i.e the prize cost $100 ,our margin on warranty is 50% ,we sold more than $250 extra in warranty in the period

PRIZES
Non cash ,something sales guys can share with wife/partner /family

HOW OFTEN ?
Want to keep them fresh so get a result ,one week per month ?
