we use work order manage to manage sold parts that have to be dismantled
background scrap cars - these cars we only remove the high value parts and then scrap the hulk/body shell
keep cars - after removing engine/major parts we keep the hulk on side of warehouse as we may sell other items from thsi car .i.e trim ,suspension, body section etc
as a general guide
we NEVER disturb dismantlers once they have started a car we don't disturb them until they have finished the car
we want to avoid double handling
if car has to go on hoist to have the sold part removed then we would remove engine and all W status parts at same time
if car is keep car we just remove the sold parts or remove W status parts at same time
PROCESS we print the picking slip and item sticker we staple this to dismantle car folders and put in top tray of dismantles folder dismantlers work from the top tray down
to check if car is scrap car or keep car
